The Temple of the Holy Spirit (THS) prayer group is a Sydney, Australia, based charismatic prayer group established since September 1996. In May 2009, THS Taiwan and Hong Kong were established.
THS aims to bring the living Jesus to other young people around the world through the power of the Holy Spirit.
By coming together every Friday night, praising and worshiping our Lord, we continue to develop an intimate relationship with Jesus and a fellowship with other brothers and sisters in Christ.
This enables us to keep spiritual life growing and hence, reach out to the ends of the earth to spread God’s love.
On the first Friday of each month, we celebrate Sacred Heart Mass, followed by Adoration and prayover.
While on other Fridays, we have praise and worship followed by cell group sharing and homework discussions. The cell groups are divided into Cantonese, Mandarin, English and youth.
Other activities
On Sundays, we have Bible study groups, in either Cantonese and English, St Peter Julian's Church, 1.30pm.
Since 2001, THS has visited our brothers and sisters in South East Asia, spreading the good news of Jesus.
THS members are young, enthusiastic, energetic and charismatic. Although we call Australia home, most of us come from South East Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia. And it would be pertinent for us to work with the youth groups from these countries and to share our experiences.
The mission trip usually takes place in December each year.
In 2010, THS went to Hong Kong and several cities in Taiwan. There were praise and worship, talk, testimony and pray over sessions in each prayer meeting.
